Beth El Early Learning Center offers a developmental (early childhood curriculum) coarse which empowers all children to reach their potential. We offer challenges just beyond the level of present mastery, providing opportunities to learn and practice newly acquired skills while recognizing individual variations. We recognize various learning styles by incorporating Dr. Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences into daily learning experiences.
Toddlers discover their world on a physical level and learn by doing. Classroom materials engage the children in imaginative play and support their introduction to autonomy.
Art experiences, building blocks, music and books for creative exploration help each child further develop his/her cognitive and physical skills. The children are introduced to colors, shapes and numbers through hands on experiences.
Our preschoolers are offered many opportunities to engage in active involvement with experiences in and out of the classroom. By integrating print and language into every activity center, your child is exposed to the whole language approach. Children learn both upper & lower case letters, beginning sounds, simple word recognition and to write their names.
The curriculum also includes math readiness skills, science, creative expression, social studies, social-emotional development and Judaica. Books and other forms of literature are a key component of the curriculum.
This year-long learning adventure includes increasingly challenging learning experiences in a socially and emotionally supportive environment. Children are encouraged to become critical thinkers and problem solvers through well planned, guided activities.
Language and literacy, math, science, social studies, technology, Judaica and a print-rich environment provide the atmosphere for mastering kindergarten readiness skills. We participate in the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program offered by Palm Beach County. Our graduates are admitted to the area’s finest private schools and public schools, many qualifying for the “gifted” program.
For those children enrolled in our full day programs, afternoon enrichment is included at no extra charge. After nap and a snack, children participate in two different fun-filled, skill building classes each day. A sample schedule would include: Creation Station and Science Secrets, Soccer and Gardening or Explore-A-Story and Music and Movement. On Friday afternoons, following enrichment, the school community gathers for a Shabbat Sing-A-Long at 5:00 pm, wishing our friends and families a Shabbat Shalom.
