Beth El Early Learning Center offers developmental childcare and early childhood programs which empower all children to reach their potential. We offer challenges just beyond the level of present mastery, providing opportunities to learn and practice newly acquired skills while recognizing individual variations.
Our infant and toddler rooms provide a cheerful, safe, loving and healthy environment for your children from 3 months to 2 years. Our highly-skilled teachers interact with your children, facilitating developmentally-appropriate experiences such as music, small group story time and sensory exploration. There is constant communication between home and school. We promote parent-teacher communication through phone calls, daily reports and Brightwheel (our classroom management and parent communication app). Using Brightwheel, your classroom teachers will keep in contact with you throughout the day sharing important information like feeding, diapering/toileting, nap schedule, photographs and weekly educational updates.
Our two-year-old students discover their world on a physical and emotional level. Our children learn through hands on experiences, following a play-based approach. Classroom materials engage the children in imaginative play and support their introduction to autonomy. Art experiences, building blocks, music and books for creative exploration help each child further develop his/her cognitive and physical skills.
Our three-year-old students are offered many opportunities to engage in a variety of experiences in and out of the classroom. By providing a print-rich environment in class, we help to build pre-reading skills. Children learn both uppercase & lowercase letters, beginning sounds and to write their names. The curriculum also includes math readiness skills, science, creative expression, social-emotional development and Judaica.
Our Pre-K students receive differentiated curriculum based on skill level to prepare them for rigorous Kindergarten programs. Children are encouraged to become critical thinkers and problem solvers through well planned, guided activities. Our classrooms support literacy development through exposure to a wide variety of printed materials. We also emphasize the important of integrating math, science, social studies and Judaic curriculum into our students’ school day. We participate in the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK). Our graduates are admitted to the area’s finest private schools and public schools, many qualifying for the “gifted” program offered in the Palm Beach County area.
For those children enrolled in our full-time programs (7:30 am – 6:00 pm), afternoon enrichment is included at no extra charge. The children participate in a multitude of scheduled programming in our STEAM room, natural playground, garden and outdoor pavilion. On Friday afternoons, the school community gathers for a Shabbat Sing-A-Long, wishing our friends and families a Shabbat Shalom.
